What Projects are we working on?
As a growing Club in a Rural setting, we have a lot of projects in the works to improve venues, quality of programs, range of programs and staff capabilities. Here are just a few we are currently working on...
Slocan Expo Field Renovation
Levelling the Field, Seeding new Grass, Installation of an Irrigation System and maintenance of the field.
This project is currently in the permissions/fund gathering phase.
Winlaw Hall Field Renovation
Levelling the Field, Seeding new Grass, Installation of an Irrigation System and maintenance of the field.
This project has seen winter seeding and aeration and is ongoing.
School Break Camps
Spring Break, Summer Break and Winter Break Camps.
Currently in the development phase. This will require a dedicated staff and appropriate facilities to fully realise.
Adult League
A League for Adult Players! This includes weekly practices, Team Uniforms and organised games/Tournament activity for players aged 19-80.
Successful pilot in Fall 2021. Will be available Spring 2022, complete with Team Uniforms. Next step is growing the available teams to play in this league...
Indoor Facility Project
The mother of all projects - achieving the construction and operation of an all-weather indoor facility. This would be a multi-use facility with an indoor field, running track, offices, multi-purpose rooms, parking and more.
Currently in the 5-Year-Plan concept phase. This will require a significant granting/fundraising and planning period to accomplish.
